Microsoft Power Apps Engineer

Key Functions: 

We are looking for an innovative and seasoned Power Platform Developer to join our Business Automation Team. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in developing both model-driven and canvas apps, combined with expertise in Power Automate, Power BI, Azure, and API integrations. You will be responsible for creating comprehensive solutions that support our business processes and decision-making capabilities, leveraging the full power of the Power Platform suite and related technologies. This person will help improve upon manual processes to improve efficiency, reduce human error and streamline processes that will improve the customer experience. You will work with multiple teams across the organization and work alongside Product Owners and other engineers in a Kanban environment. 

Key Responsibilities and Initiatives: 

  • Design, develop, and implement model-driven and canvas apps using Power Apps Studio and Power Apps portals. 
  • Build and manage data connections to platforms such as SharePoint, SQL Server, and Dataverse. 
  • Automate business processes and workflows using Power Automate to increase organizational efficiency. 
  • Create custom connectors and integrate with external systems via Power Automate and Azure Logic Apps. 
  • Develop dynamic dashboards and reports in Power BI, sourcing data from various origins for informed stakeholder decision-making. 
  • Implement security measures and user roles within Power Platform applications to maintain data integrity and compliance. 
  • Conduct and coordinate training sessions for end users on the effective use of Power Platform tools. 
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver on Power Platform solutions. 
  • Utilize Azure DevOps and GitHub for version control and release management to ensure smooth deployment and risk mitigation. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years Extensive experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and Microsoft 365. 
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, including SharePoint Online and SharePoint Designer. 
  • Solid background in web development technologies (HTML, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, ReactJS). 
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps). 
  • Familiarity with C#, .NET Framework, and database management (SQL Server). 
  • Knowledge of development tools and IDEs such as Visual Studio and NPM. 
  • Excellent communication skills. There is a ticketing tool where Product Managers will write user stories. As the developer grabs tickets to work on they should be excellent at documenting their status, updates and progress within the tool.  

Preferred Experience: 

  • Banking or Financial industry experience 
  • Improving Chatbot communications by leveraging Chat GPT, and AI empower apps 
  • API Experience integrating with 3rd party Applications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. 
  • Certifications in Power Platform or Microsoft technologies are highly regarded.
